Adoption Information

There is an additional $15.00 rabies vaccination deposit required. We will issue a certificate which the adopter must take to their veterinarian along with their new pet for a rabies vaccination (rabies vaccinations must be given by a licensed veterinarian and cannot be given at the shelter). Rabies vaccination must be given within 30 days or the certificate will expire and the adopter will be in violation of the contract. The deposit fee is waived if the animal is already vaccinated.

It is required by city ordinance that all dogs over 6 months of age that reside within city limits be licensed.
License fees are:
$10.00 for altered animal for one year
$25.00 for unaltered animal for one year
$15.00 for altered animal for two years
$45.00 for unaltered animal for two years
Licenses can be purchased at the animal shelter or from your veterinarian.

Unaltered animals will be transported to a local veterinarian of your choice to be spayed or neutered. All veterinary charges will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Adoption fees are waived for animals over 8 years of age.

You can adopt two same sex litter mate cats for one adoption fee.
