Because many of her patients have terminal illness, she realized that a large percentage of her time was spent counseling people who were struggling with the emotional, spiritual, and physical issues involved with end-of-life pets. She earned a masters degree in counseling in order to better sere her patients and their caretakers during this important time. These workshops are a collaborative project of Montana Horse Sanctuary; The Humane Society of the United States, Northern Rockies Regional Office, Billings; Menghini Angus Ranch of Belt; and K-Heart Veterinary of Great Falls.
