DSH,  black,  Male neutered,  2 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: I have and imperial manner about me. I am calm, sweet, and independent. I am fairly low energy- at least here at the shelter. I spend my days lounging in a basket or solemnly roaming the room. I have a beautiful and unique appearance for a black cat with wide pumpkin colored eyes and grey speckles throughout my coat. I would be a great companion to a smaller family or a single person. I would be fine as an only cat or with others.

I am kind of a shy, standoffish girl at first but if you spend a little time with me you will see that I am quite the affectionate lover. I love to be petted and can be playful at times. I would do best in a quiet home where I can bond with one or two people. I am declawed and therefore must be kept indoors. I get along with other cats and would adjust well to a mellow dog. [Picture] 1/2/2008   [08-0011]   Lil Grey
DSH,  grey,  Male neutered,  2 Yr
STRAY:
Lil Grey is a very pretty cat with a quiet personality. He is a little overwhelmed being in the cat room so a home with one maybe two cats would suit him best. He would definitely fit into a quiet home without a lot a activity. Older kids and a cat friendly dog would be best for him.
[Picture] 12/29/2007   [07-1928]   Kacey
DSH,  grey tabby,  Female spayed,  2 Yr
STRAY:
Kacey is a very shy cat. She had not been turned loose in the cat room because we are afraid she will just hide. When you reach into her cage she does enjoy being petted so some of that shyness will probably be gone once she goes into a home. She had been with other cats so a multiple cat home would be fine for her. It will probably take some time to adjust to a dog but over time she would be fine. Older kids would be best because of her shyness. Kacey can be seen at Petco.

[Picture] 12/12/2007   [07-1844]   Feta
DMH,  white and grey,  Male neutered,  6 Mo
STRAY:
Feta is a sweet cat but needs a bit of time to warm up to you. Once you get him going he is a love. He gets along with other cats but dogs would be too much for him so he needs a cat only home. He would be better in a home with older kids. Out on Pawsability.
[Picture] 12/6/2007   [07-1825]   Mozart
DSH,  grey tabby,  Male neutered,  2 Yr
STRAY:
Mozart is a stout cat that is very talkative. He has a beautiful grey coat with wonderful tabby markings and big green eyes. He is not the type of cat that likes to be picked up but he will jump into your lap to be petted. He does play with the other cats so a home with multiple cats would be great for him. He would do best in a home with other kids. He would be fine with dogs but would need some time to adjust.
[Picture] 12/4/2007   [07-1815]   Norma
DSH,  grey tabby withe white,  Female spayed,  4 Yr
STRAY:
Norma is the type of cat that would probably enjoy being the "only cat". She tolerates the other cats but that is all it is. She would rather hang out by herself up on the shelves in the cat room. She does like being petted so a home that is looking for a lap cat would be ideal for her. She would be best with older kids and small quiet dogs.

In the open cat room Angel is a keep to herself kind of cat. She does enjoy being petted and brushed. She will sit in your lap and take in everything around her. The more you pet her the more vocal she becomes. She seems to enjoy the company of people very much. She would be good with dogs, cats and kids.

[Picture] 3/21/2007   [07-0445]   Sylvester
DSH,  black/white,  Male neutered,  5 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Sylvester obviously got his name from the cartoon character and of course looks just like him. He is affectionate and outgoing and demands attention. Sylvester would be ideal as an indoor/outdoor cat and would fit in a multi cat household, with dogs and kids of all ages.
[Picture] 3/5/2007   [07-0337]   Maddie
Mixed breed,  grey,  Female,  Adult
STRAY: Valley Dr.
Maddie is a very calm rabbit who is easy to handle and loves to be petted. She's great with people and other rabbits. Give her a raisin and a pet on the nose and she'll be your best friend! Maddie is currently learning to use a litter box, so she will make a great house pet.
[Picture] 2/26/2007   [07-0301]   Mocha
American Sable,  brown,  Male Intact,  Adult
STRAY: Rodney
Mocha is a friendly and playful rabbit. He loves running around his room playing, and he'll hop over to you wanting to be petted. He's a little nervous aobut being picked up, but he's more than happy to cuddle with you where he feels safe on the ground. Mocha would do great in an indoor home where he can socialize with people. He's a very smart rabbit and he's already learned to use a litter box.
[Picture] 2/15/2007   [07-0253]   Druid
DSH,  black/white,  Male neutered,  Adult
STRAY:
Druid is one big cat tipping the scale at 17 pounds! We recently came to work to find him favoring his front right leg. After a visit to the vet he was found to have broken both his right radius and ulna. Even with his immobility he is happy-go-lucky and stumps around on his splint. His affection and desire for attention is never ending. Druid would thrive in a home with cats, dogs and kids of any age.
[Picture] 1/19/2007   [07-0105]   Sammy
Lionhead mix,  brown,  Male Intact,  Adult
STRAY: Treasure State Acres
Sammy is a Lionhead mix. He is shy and would do best without small children. He likes it when people talk to him, he loves eating lettuce and parsley and an occasional piece of banana as a treat. Sammy came to LCHS as a stray and he's still a bit timid around strangers but once he gets to know you he's a very sweet rabbit. He's learning to use a litter box, so he'd make a great house pet.
