Adoption Information


All dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered and receive vaccinations (including the rabies vaccination) before leaving the shelter with a new family. The cost for adoption is $75.00 for dogs and $60.00 for cats. On very rare occasions, younger puppies or kittens may be adopted before getting a rabies vaccination or being altered, and certificates for those services will be issued.

Other small animals will be spayed or neutered (and ferrets will be given rabies vaccinations) before adoption. Fees will vary by animal.

Printable Adoption Forms are available. Please print these, fill them out and mail or fax them to the Shelter. You may also copy, paste and return them
by e-mail to animalcontrol@co.missoula.mt.us.
