Laura Lee is a wonderful, loving quiet kitty who has that plain black cat syndrome going on. She blends in with so many common, everyday things. It would be so much better to be yellow or pink or something more colorful like that. Oh wait, that is "It's Not Easy Being Green" but you get the idea.

DSH, orange tabby, Male neutered, 1 Yr

We should call these guys the "Purr Brothers" cause even though they are scared to be in the shelter, they purr at the drop of a hat. The four kittens are named Rene, Kipp. Marty, and Levi. These kits would be perfect candidates for our "two -fur-one" adoption fee. Get one or two for the same $40 adoption fee.

12/18/2009 [09-PP109C] Frosty
DSH, brown tabby with white mittens, Female spayed, Adult
STRAY: Ace Hardware, Anaconda
Frosty came to Pintler Pets as a stray from the streets of Anaconda. She was too wary of a live trap, but the aroma of an open can of cat food was all it took to entice her out of hiding. Her frostbitten ears and starvation wracked body welcome the security and warmth of the blankets in the shelter. If you look into her eyes, you can see that whether she lives or dies is not really of much consequence, but rather the fact that she is at peace, comfortable and loved is paramount. The story of how she ended up on the streets like so many other cats, we will never know. Our hopes and dreams for her are that she is able to eventually get fat, carefree and sassy, and to forget the road that led her here.
12/2/2009 [09-PP108C] Socks

DSH, black/white star on chest, Female spayed, Young Adult
STRAY: abandoned at the shelter
Betsy was left in one of our outside kennels so we don't know very much about her. What we do know is that she is very pretty and is very sweet.
9/25/2009 [09-PP070C] Pansy
DSH, white/brown, Male neutered, Young Adult
STRAY:
Pansy is a hissy little thing who needs a lot of hugging and loving and smooching and rubbing to let her know that this is the way it is, and this is the way it will always be. Her Mama, Peri, is a nice kitty so the kittens will probably come around with a little love and affection.
9/19/2009 [09-PP060C] Cinderella
DSH, black, Female spayed, Young Adult
ABANDONED: Abandoned in one of our outside kennels
Of course, Cinderella didn't deserve to be left with no information on why she was being abandoned. She does deserve a wonderful home to rule over as a princess. One of our other beautiful black cats could serve as her Prince Charming.

DSH, brown tabby/white, Female spayed, Young Adult
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control
Brooke was trapped as a feral cat and is still very skittish. She will hang out in the room with people however but just doesn't quite trust us yet. What pretty green eyes she has and what cute black tips on her ears!

6/18/2009 [09-PP051C] Voorhees
DSH, black/white, Male neutered, 2-3 yrs.
STRAY:
Voorhees was trapped as a part of a feral colony but he is far from feral. He loves being picked up and held, and has the confidence of his large size gives him. He may have fathered Black Bart and others but those days are over; now it's just cat chow and lap sitting.
5/4/2009 [09-PP009C] Sunny
DSH, white with gray smudges, Female spayed, Adult
STRAY:
Sunny originally arrived 02/21/08 as a transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge Animal Control. Spayed 03/28/09. Sunny was adopted but returned (05/04/09) because of a baby in the house.
Sunny is a very pretty, petite, mostly white kitty with gray smudges on her head and a dark gray tail. Sunny loves following you around to see what's up. In fact, when the construction of the outside cat rooms were in progress, Sunny was right there supervising. Sunny's name fits her very well.

STRAY:
Sidney is a transfer from the local animal control shelter because of overcrowding there. He is a beautiful, calm kitty who evidently had a home (and someone who cared about him) at one time since he is already neutered.
9/29/2008 [08-PP148C] Bonkers
DSH, black/orange tortoiseshell, Female spayed, 3-4 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Bonkers was left behind when her owners moved to Canada. Why... I thought cats were allowed in Canada? Bonkers is a fabulous, very classy cat who deserves the best that America has to offer. She is declawed.
9/1/2008 [08-PP107C] Drew
DSH, gray tabby/white, Male neutered, Adult
ABANDONED: found outside of Pintler Pets
Drew was another cat who just "appeared" at the shelter one day. No one seems to know from whence he came. He is a very nice kitty and has fantastic markings, especially with that white mask on his face.
8/31/2008 [08-PP102C] Bunny
DMH, gray/white declawed, Female spayed, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Bunny, Bugs, and Baby were all surrendered because their owner could no longer care for them. Bunny is very large for a female and is ultra-sweet. She has been shaved down because of mats and is not too fond of being brushed. She is timid and would do well in a quiet home. In a foster home.
7/9/2008 [08-PP086C] Justine
DSH, brown tabby, Female spayed, Adult
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge animal control

Russian Blue X, blue-gray, Female spayed, Adult

DSH, white/black, Male neutered, 4 Yr

7/28/2007 [07-PP109C] Copper
DMH, buff, Male neutered, 5 yrs.
STRAY: Front Street, Anaconda
Copper's name should actually, more accurately, be Professor Marvel. He has a great presence, is a showman and has handlebar whiskers just like the character in the Wizard of Oz. Even though he was hanging out with the lady cats on Front Street, he is not a bit wild and, as soon as he is neutered, will make a great companion.
7/16/2007 [07-PP099C] Cosmo
DLH, brown tabby, Male neutered, 3 Yr
STRAY: Front St., Anaconda
Cosmo was trapped in a live trap at a cat colony we are trying to trap-neuter-release, or in Cosmo's case, tame him enough to be a house cat. When trapped he was about 6-8 weeks. he is just such a little fluff ball and a sweetie, but just scared which is understandable. Other young kittens we have trapped in this area have gone on to be beautiful tame cats.
6/18/2007 [07-PP096C] Smokey

STRAY:
Transfer from the Dedman Foundation in Fort Benton. Originally brought in 01/08/06 at 6 months old as a feral kitten. 6/11/2007 [07-PP088C] Spencer
DMH, orange/white, Male neutered, 5 yrs.
ABANDONED: Front doorstep of Pintler Pets
Spencer and three other cats were put in two cardboard boxes and the boxes were taped shut. Someone left them on Pintler's doorstep in the middle of a rainy night where a shelter worker found them in the morning. A note said "please take good care of our cats". They arrived with ear mites and tape worms (all gone now), so obviously the people that left them couldn't take care of them properly. Too bad they felt that they had to abandon them in the manner that they did. The cats are a bit traumatized right now, but they will come around with time and love.
Spencer has a slight eye infection that would clear up a lot quicker in a quiet home where he would get individual attention. He is traumatized at the shelter but is such s sweet kitty. We are looking for someone's sympathy vote for Spencer; someone who wants to mother him back to health and well-being. He really is a sweet cat who will repay you by blooming where ever he is planted.

3/5/2007 [07-PP033C] Spatz
DSH, brown tabby, Female spayed, 5 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Spatz originally came in with the name "Spaz", but never has there been a more inappropriate name. She is a beautiful, sleek, regal kitty; the epitome of grace. Perhaps her new owner should remname her "Bastet" after the Egyptian cat goddess. She is quite and reserved and anxiously awaits "Ra" the sun god in the morning light. She has always been an indorr kitty. Her owner moved to a "no pets" apartment. In foster care, please call the shelter if you are interested.

3/6/2006 [06-PP037C] Cher
DSH, black, Female spayed, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Cher and her 8 little carbon copies were surrendered by their owner when the kittens were 3-weeks old. We love all of these wonderful kitties (all black!) but boy do we wish Cher had been spayed before this happened. Cher has been a wonderful Mom and deserves to settle into a home of her own. She is loving but is very polite and unobtrusive. All will have to be spayed and neutered before they leave us so this doesn't happen again! Cher's spay was sponsored by her Guardian Angel.
